Teaching
Mines Paris PSL
I do most of my teaching dutties at Mines Paris PSL. I am co responsible of the “Health and Life science” M2 specialty for Mines Paris’ Ingeneer. This is an interdisciplinary program where we study several aspect of the healthcare system, with four main theme:
- Environmental heath
- Data science for health
- Biomechanics and Biomaterials
- Healthcare Management
I’m responsible of item 1 and 2.
I am also giving one lecture “Evolutionary Biology and Health” in the “Health Research Semester” for M1 students, and supervise their 2 months research projects.
University Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL)
From 2025 onwards, I will be teaching in the new BioMedical Engineering (ST4Health) master degree. I will be co-responsible (together with Chloe-Agathe Azencott) of a 18 hour class “Statitics and Machine Learning for Genomic”.
ENSAE
In 2025 I gave a lecture in the “séminaire de statistique” for M1 students at ENSAE about variable selection in high dimension (slides in french).
Supervision
I currently supervise two PhD Students:
- Julie Cartier works on statistical methods to improve biomarker discoveries with transcriptomic data. (Co supervised with Chloé Azencott and Adeline Fermanian).
- Paul Etheimer develop methods to reconstruct bacteria phylogenies and measure mutation rate distribution (co supervised with Chloé Azencott).
One Postdoc:
- Giann Karlo Aguirre-Samboní uses network method to improve the power of genome-wide association studies.
In the past, I’ve supervised several interns, (M1 and M2): Anaelle Hulbert; Johanna Lagoas; Camille Lebrun; Axel Prévot; Antoine Laforgue; Florine Gallois; Chloé Vogel. I am always happy to supervise new students and postdoc. If interested, don’t hesitate to contact me!
